At Farmer's Leaf in Cochrane, Alberta, we're proud to partner with local farmers, ranchers and artisans from across the province. We believe great food starts with great people. Every loaf of bread, bottle of milk, fresh fruit and vegetable and handcrafted product on our shelves has a story. Each story starts with an Alberta farmer, rancher, or artisan who shares our passion for fresh, clean, local food made with care.

Fallentimber Honey
Water Valley, Alberta
The Ryan family has been keeping bees in the Alberta foothills since 1969.
At Fallentimber, honey isn't just harvested—it's carefully crafted. Their hives are tucked into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, where bees forage on wildflowers and clover while staying well away from intensive cropland.
Their raw, unpasteurized honey is naturally rich in flavour, graded to Canada's highest standards, and bottled with minimal processing to preserve everything the bees worked so hard to create.

Lone Pine Creamery
Didsbury, Alberta
The Haeni family immigrated to Alberta from Switzerland in 1993 and bought a small Jersey cow farm in Didsbury. Today, Lone Pine Jerseys is one of the largest purebred Jersey herds in Canada.
Lone Pine Creamery produces wholesome Jersey milk with minimal processing. Their milk is pasteurized, but otherwise they keep things simple: nothing is taken and nothing is added.
Their philosophy is based on three pillars: the land, the cow and the community. Soil health is the starting point of their operation, and Jersey cows are at the heart of what they do.
Jersey cows require less water and land than larger dairy breeds and produce less manure with a smaller carbon footprint. By keeping the distance between the farm and processing short, Lone Pine is also able to offer milk that is fresh with a longer shelf life.
Community is their third pillar. In their words, the people around them mean everything to them — and they encourage people to shop local.
